SRINAGAR, Feb 2: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered a large quantity of contraband substances in Srinagar today.
A Police spokesman said a Police party of police post, Chanapora during a naka apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 24 bottles of codeine phosphate, 345 tablets of Alprazolam and 40 strips of Spasmo proxyvon (24 capsules in each strips) from his possession.
The drug peddler was identified as Adil Farooq Mir, a resident of Rambagh Bala.
A case with FIR No 14/2018 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered against the accused & further investigation was taken up.
