DRSC asks officers to take concrete steps

JAMMU, Feb 8: A meeting of Department Related Standing Committee (DRSC-III) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held under the chairmanship of MLC, Dr Bashir Ahmed Shah Veeri here today.
Legislators, Saif-ud-Din Bhat and Ramesh Arora were also present in the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions to retrieve and safeguard the State properties outside J&K.
While taking cognizance of news published in EXCELSIOR, the Chairman and members of the Committee called for protection, preservation and retrieval of State properties in Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Mumbai etc.
The Committee asked the officers of Council Secretariat to seek a comprehensive status report of properties falling outside the State from the Government as early as possible and furnish the same to members of the Committee for scrutinizing.
Special Secretary, Legislative Council, Mohammad Ashraf Wani besides other officers of Council Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
