Driver wanted in murder case nabbed

KISHTWAR, Sept 8: Police nabbed a driver, who was evading his arrest in the murder case of another driver few days back.
As per police sources, two drivers identified as Nisar Ahmed (30), son of Shabir Ahmed, a resident of Hullar and Imtiyaz, son of Mehrajudin, a resident of same area exchanged heated words over an issue on September 5.
The argument later took an ugly turn, when Nisar Ahmed was allegedly stabbed by Imtiyaz with sharp edged weapon in broad day light near Kishtwar police station.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital Kishtwar, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The accused escaped from the spot after committing the crime.
A case under relevant Sections was registered at Kishtwar police station and manhunt was launched to apprehend the absconding accused.
On specific information, police team from Kishtwar police station conducted raid in Galhar area and nabbed the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Kishtwar police station Sameer Jeelani made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed and SP Kishtwar Yougal Manhas.
