JAMMU, Jan 29: The driver was killed and cleaner injured when a truck fell into a gorge near Bhamla on Rajouri-Jammu road today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when truck No. JK-11/9741 was on its way to Rajouri from Jammu. It was loaded with urea. When the vehicle reached at Sadhari near Bhamla, the driver lost control at a sharp curve and the truck landed into a gorge. While the cleaner escaped with minor injuries, the driver was killed on the spot. He was later identified as Rajesh Kumar (41), son of Lekh Raj, resident of Dandesar in Rajouri.
