DODA, Jan 24: A driver was killed when the car he was driving rolled down into gorge near Manthorie area here.
As per police sources, a Eeco car was on its way to Manthorie from Jathalie, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge near Manthorie area late last night, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the gorge with the help of locals.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased identified as Mousim Sheikh, son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, a residents of Manthorie was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
