BHADERWAH, Nov 12: A driver was killed, when the Tata Sumo he was driving plunged into gorge near Bathri area of tehsil Gandoh here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-6300 was on its way to Thathri from Bathri, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle plunged into gorge resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot, retrieved the body and shifted it to nearby hospital, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Younis, son of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Kahara.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gandoh police station and investigation started.
