KISHTWAR, May 24: A driver was killed while two others including a minor were injured when the Eco car they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Naigrah area, here today.

As per police sources, an Eco car was on its way to Galhar from Padyarna, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Naigrah, resulting into on the spot death of driver and injuries to two others.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals, volunteers of NGOs, team from Department of Fire and Emergency Services and Army personnel.
The injured persons including a minor were shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The deceased has been identified as Daljeet Singh, son of Prem Nath of Chingnana district Kishtwar while the injured were identified as Akhilesh, son of Vijay Kumar of Pullar and Sudesha Devi, wife of Kashmiri Lal of Chingnana district Kishtwar.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
