Srinagar, Oct 27: Police today said a driver died after his vehicle hit an electric pole in Budgam district of central Kashmir.
A police spokesman said a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK014-2304 driven by Mohammad Shafi Sheikh hit an electric pole near Gurudwara at Rangreth, resulting in injuries to the driver.
“The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his next of kin for last rites,” the spokesman added.
