DODA, June 11: Police arrested a driver and conductor for selling illicit liquor near Pul Doda.
As per police sources, a team from Pul Doda police post intercepted a mini-bus bearing registration number JK06-5155.
During checking, police recovered 30 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver and conductor, who were selling the illicit liquor to masses for illegitimate profits.
The accused have been identified as Mudaisser Hussain (driver), son of Sher Mohammad and Mohammad Yaseen (conductor), son of Javed Iqbal, both residents of District Doda.
A case under relevant Sections of law has been registered against them at Doda police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pul Doda police post SI Ajay Kumar Engotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Doda Inspector Raghubir Singh, DySP Headquarters Doda Iftikhar Qureshi and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
