JAMMU, Dec 7: NSS volunteers of Government College of Education, Jammu today conducted cleanliness drive on the banks of River Tawi under the program ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
Students cleaned the Tawi banks and raised the slogan ‘One Step Towards Cleanliness’. The NSS volunteers also generated awareness among the public about the importance of keeping water bodies clean.
The Principal of GCOE, Dr Kulvinder Kour said that cleanliness is most important for physical well-being and a healthy environment.
The Program was adroitly conducted by Dr. Shubhra Jamwal, NSS Nodal Officer. Prof Shapia Shameem Bhatti, Prof Seema Kumari and Prof Sarita Dogra were also present at the event.
