DRI loans sanctioned to weaker sections

KATHUA, Feb 17: State Bank of Patiala today distributed DRI loans to the people belonging to weaker sections of the society.
The loans were distributed during one- day awareness function at Kathua in which Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, R K Kalsotra, LBO, Kathua, Jagjit Singh, Branch Manager, SBP, Jog Raj, Sarpanch, Govind Sar and villagers participated.
DDM, NABARD informed about the initiatives undertaken under financial inclusion by NABARD and GoI. He asked all the members to open no-frill accounts to their advantage. He also explained that the objective of KCC scheme is to provide flexible and hassle free credit to farmers.
R K Kalsotra, LBO interacted with villagers and informed them that the banks are there for lending to the masses. He also asked them to change with the changing times and adopt new practice, to their advantage.
Jagjit Singh, Branch Manager, State Bank of Patiala, highlighted the importance of bank accounts and explained development through credit. He informed that the loan provided under DRI is at the rate of 4%, with a repayment of 3 years.
