Draft rules of Hindu Marriages Act posted on GAD website

SRINAGAR, June 28: State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here this morning, approved placing of the draft of J&K Hindu Marriages Registration Rules and Jammu and Kashmir Marriage Laws (Amendment) Bill on the website of the General Administration Department.
The draft is being posted on the GAD website for one month for eliciting public comments, an official handout said.
The Cabinet also accorded approval for the construction of residential flats for employees at Pampore.
The proposal to construct residential flats has been mooted in order to dispense with the practice of hiring hotels for the employees for six months when the Secretariat functions from Srinagar.
It has also extended the services of Dr M S Baloria, Secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education for two months.
It is pertinent to mention here that a Search Committee has already been constituted by the Government to suggest a panel for the post of Secretary of BOSE.
