SRINAGAR, Aug 30: Writer, social activist and president of Aalmi Tahreek-e-Urdu, Dr Zakir Malik Bhallesi has received Bharat Gaurav Puruskar 2021 for his outstanding contribution in promotion of Urdu language.
Bhallesi received the prestigious award here today from Dr Shahid Iqbal, Chief Executive Officer, J&K Mission Youth and Commissioner, J&K Government.
The award was presented to Bhallesi in virtual award ceremony held at New Delhi by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and the same was handed over to him today by CEO, Mission Youth, J&K.
A total of 67 people from all over India received this award in different categories. Dr. Malik is only recipient of this award from J&K.
Bhallesi has authored four books in Urdu and compiled eight books in English language besides published 300 articles in national and international journals/newspapers.
He has already received 20 awards including prestigious Asian Education Award-2020 for his book Danish Gah, Star India Award, UN 75 Award and Urdu Ambassador Awards.
