JAMMU, Mar 23: The Government of Punjab awarded Dr Vikas Padha, Senior Consultant Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Narayana Hospital Katra has been awarded by the Government of Punjab with “The Pillars of India Award” for being healthcare pioneer of India today.
The award was presented by Cabinet Minister of Punjab, Aman Arora who represented Government of Punjab in The Pillars of India (Shaping The Future) Felicitation 2023 Ceremony held today at JW Marriot Hotel Chandigarh.
Dr Vikas Padha who is a renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon from Jammu and Kashmir was presented this award for his outstanding work he has been doing in the field of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement, especially for his high risk Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement Surgeries in very elderly age group of population.
During felicitation ceremony, the World Record Surgery done by Dr Vikas Padha upon a male patient aged 119 years along with successful high risk hip surgery done on 104 years old female from Jammu without any problem, were widely applauded apart from high risk hip replacement Surgeries on Kidney failure patients and complex Total Knee Replacement Surgeries he has been doing regularly.
