SRINAGAR, Jan 7: Dr Tajamul, a prominent political activist from Handwara who contested recently concluded DDC elections as an independent candidate from Natnussa territorial constituency in Kupwara district today joined Apni Party along with his over 200 prominent political associates.
The joining ceremony took place at Apni Party office in Lal Chowk in presence of party president, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari. party general general secretary, Rafi Ahmad Mir, State secretary and district president, Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din, provincial president, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, district president, Kupwara Raja Manzoor, district president, Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, party leaders, Abdul Rasheed Bhat and Showkat Ahmad Mir were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new entrants into the party-fold and impressed upon them to work tirelessly for the public welfare in their respective areas.
Besides, working for redressal of public grievances, he stressed on them to strengthen the party cadre in district Kupwara.
“The people were in search of a reliable political platform and we gave them a Apni Party, which is committed for an equitable and holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir,” Bukhari observed.
Bukhari said: “Let’s rebuild J&K with truth, sincerity and hard work. Let us bury corruption and nepotism so that we can usher in an era of stability and prosperity.”
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Tajamul complimented the party leadership and other dignitaries and assured that the new members will work upon the party manifesto and will further strengthen the party at grass root levels.
Meanwhile Apni Party president, Altaf Bukhari while welcoming the industrial package exuded optimism that the package with budgetary outlay of Rs 28400 crore announced by the Government of India would give a fillip to the J&K’s ailing economy.
In a statement issued here, today Bukhari extended gratitude to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Home Minister, Amit Shah and Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha for fulfilling their commitment towards growth and prosperity of the industrial sector in J&K.
Bukhari said, “I wholeheartedly welcome this mega industrial package which I am sure will usher in a new era of industrial growth in Jammu and Kashmir. The announcement has come at a time when there is an immense need for the revival of the ailing industrial sector in J&K.”
Apni Party president remarked that it was a long-pending demand of the business community of Jammu and Kashmir and the Government of India has fulfilled its commitment by announcing this package.
