JAMMU, Sept 10:Dr Triloki Nath Ganjoo a doyen of Kashmiri Shaivism, a veteran scholar of Sharda and Sanskrit scriptures breathed his last at Srinagar yesterday.
Dr Ganjoo did not migrate from Valley after the mass exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in 1989 -90 and remained in Srinagar during the turmoil period along with his family.
His contribution to Kashmir darshan philosophy is tremendous as he was a living legend and an authority on Darshan Shaster of Kashmiri as well as Sharda scriptures. Dr Ganjoo was also a well known scholar of Kashmiri Karmakand and religious rituals. He was pioneer in preparing galaxy of scholars on Sharda script in a UNICEF Project in Rajasthan and other places for several years.
His death has created a big void which can’t be filled up for decades together. Various Kashmiri Pandit organizations including KP Sabha chief, K K Khosa, Pt Prem Nath Shastri Sanskritk Shodh Sansthan chairman Pt, Omkar Nath Shastri, PK leaders Dr Agnishekhar and others have expressed great shock and grief over his demise and termed it a great loss to the State and country.
