JAMMU, May 1: Dr Sunil Sachdev, Professor, today took over the charge of Head of the Physiology Department, Government Medical College, Jammu.
Dr Sunil Sachdev did his MBBS from Jammu University in the year 1983 followed by Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak and served in Chest Hospital, Jammu for 5 years. He subsequently did a Training course from National TB Institute Bangalore as well. Thereafter he did MD Physiology from Government Medical College Jammu in the year 1996. Dr Sunil Sachdev has been a dedicated doctor since his appointment in Department of Physiology, GMC, Jammu.
Belonging to a doctor’s family where his father served the State Health Department as Chief Medical Officer, Jammu as well as Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine, GMC, Jammu and mother as Deputy Director Health Services, Jammu & Kashmir, Dr Sunil Sachdev is carrying forward the tradition of serving the State of Jammu and Kashmir in the field of Medical Sciences.
A committed professional in Medical Education Dr Sunil Sachdev has attended various national and international conferences and presented various medical scientific research papers.
