JAMMU, Dec 12: Dr Sunanda Raina, Principal and Dean, Government Medical College, Jammu brought once again laurel to the State and GMC Jammu after being conferred most prestigious “Bharat Vidya Shromani Award” and Certificate of Education Excellence by Indian Solidarity Council, and National Mahila Rattan Gold Medal Award by International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi.
She was the only awardee from the Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2019-20. The award was conferred to her for her immense contribution in the field of Medical Education and Research as well as her major contribution in the field of Science.
International Institute of Education and Management has developed and implemented a strong set of activities in higher education scholarship administration, leadership development, and critical development fields such as health, with special focus on youth and women. Every year their screening committee country-vide selects eminent personalities for the said award based upon their contribution in the field of Education Science and Research.
Dr Sunanda Raina is the first amongst medical fraternity from Jammu & Kashmir being awarded with the said prestigious award. Many eminent National and International personalities were present in the said function.
