Jammu, Feb 10: Dr Sudhaa Sharma ,noted gynecologist has been elected as Secretary General IMS (Indian Menopause Society) for the year 2021-2022 as per the election results declared by President IMS, Dr Neelam Aggarwal from PGI Chandigarh.
Secretary General is the third highest post after president & Vice President of IMS in running all the affairs at national level.
Dr Sudhaa, former Professor Department of OBG GMC Jammu has been actively associated with IMS for more than two decades. She has been a resource faculty in formulating national guidelines for the management of different aspects of Menopause & Osteoporosis. Recent Guidelines of IMS have been issued in December 2019.
She has been involved in various research projects of IMS as Principal Investigator from Jammu. She remained as Editor- in-Chief of JMH and Journal Miidlife Health (Pub Med Indexed), an official Journal of IMS.
She has the experience in promotion of medical journalism for more than two decades, Editor- in -General Journal JK Science, Associate Editor International Journal of OBG, Asian Journal of OBG, Member Advisory Board Journal of FOGSI (JOGI) and Member Editorial board Journal of SAFOG.
She has been a guest speaker in national, international and Zonal conferences for nearly two decades. She has 60 scientific publications, four book chapters & edited one book on OSTEOPOROSIS (an official publication of IMS).
