Dr Shah to deliver lecture at SKIMS

SRINAGAR, June 23:  Son of the Soil, Dr Khalid Shah, who is presently working as Associate Professor in Harvard School of Medicine, USA, will deliver lecture at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), here tomorrow on ‘ Stem Cell based Therapies for cancer: Promising future in a Tactical Feud’.
Dr Khalid is the Director of the Stem cell Therapeutics and Imaging program at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also heads the Molecular Neurotherapy and Imaging Laboratory there. He is also a prinicipal faculty at Harvard Stem Cell Institute in Boston.
In recent years, Dr Khalid Shah and his team did some pionerring work on developing therapeutic stem cells for cancer, particularly brain tumors, which was published in a number of very high journals like Nature Neuroscience, PNAS, Stem Cells and Lancet Oncology.
