Srinagar, June 29: Government today appointed Dr Pervaiz Ahmad Shah, Head of the Department Medicine, as Principal Government Medical College Srinagar.
Health and Medical Education Department this evening issued the order of appointment of Shah as Principal GMC Srinagar.
Dr Shah was given the charge upon the retirement of Dr Kaisar Ahmad.
“Consequent upon the retirement on superannuation of Dr Kaisar Ahmad, Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar on 30-06-2019, and in the interest of Administration and patient-care, Dr Pervaiz Ahmad Shah, Professor (Head, Department of Medicine), Government Medical College, Srinagar, shall look after the charge of the post of Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar from 01-07-2019 in addition to his own duties, till the post is filled up on regular basis,” the order read.
