JAMMU, Jan 10: Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Lecturer at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhalra, Bhaderwah, has been conferred with “Best Poster Presentation Award” in World’s largest five day science spectacle and congregation ‘106th Indian Science Congress (ISC-2019)’ at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar (Punjab) on January 7, 2019.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 5000/- , a certificate and a memento. He was honoured with this award for his outstanding contribution and recognition in the field of Mushroom Science.
Dr Sanjeev, son of Ram Prashad of Mohalla Khakhal Bhaderwah, is an alumnus of the Department of Botany, University of Jammu, who did his Doctorate under the supervision of Prof Yash Pal Sharma. He has worked extensively on the wild mushroom flora of Jammu and Kashmir and has presented his research across the country and abroad.
