Dr Rashid elected Chairman, Sanjay Chokar National President of RGVM

NEW DELHI, Mar 23: The much awaited elections of the Rashtriya Gujjar Vikas Manch (RGVM), a prominent organisation of the Gujjar community working for the empowerment and welfare of Gujjar Samaj at national level, were held today at International Youth Centre, here, during the RGVM annual executive meet.
Dr. Abdul Rashid Choudhary State president NSUI J & K has been elected as the Chairman and Sanjay Choker State president PYC Haryana state has been elected as the president of Rashtriya Gujjar Vikas Manch (RGVM) for a period of three years. Virendra Singh Guddu from UP was elected as elected as senior vice president, Rohit Khorana from Delhi was elected as Vice President and was also given the charge National spokesperson. Rinku Seal and Sunder Singh as National general secretaries, Mahesh Soda and Rohit Telipura elected as National secretary.
Out of 18 positions of the RGVM office bearers, eights have been declared elected by the RGVM election commission headed by Rakesh Singh The elections for the remaining 10 posts shall be held in the first week of April 2013, as there are more than one candidates in the fray for these posts. Also the state units, regional and district units and new electoral rolls for various states shall be announced in the next month.
A large number of RGVM executive members and prominent Gujjar samaj leaders from West Bengal, Utrakahand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir participated in the RGVM national executive meet 2013 and expressed faith and confidence in the leadership of Dr. Rashid Choudhary, Sanjay Chokar and others.
