Dr Nehru appointed OSD to Haryana CM

JAMMU, Dec 6: Dr. Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Palwal Haryana and a corporate leader has been appointed as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini.

A distinguished educator and a multifaceted personality, Dr. Nehru brings with him a blend of administrative, academic and corporate expertise spanning over two decades. He has held prominent positions in companies like IBM and Concentrix.
He became the founding Vice Chancellor of the country’s first State Skill University in 2016 and successfully implementing its vision.
Dr. Nehru’s significant contributions include serving as Mission Director of the Skill Development Corporation prior to joining the University. He is a member of esteemed institutions such as UGC and AICTE and has been instrumental in developing a model for skill integration in higher education in India.
He has also held additional responsibilities at two other universities. A renowned author, Dr. Nehru has published four books, with his latest, Aham Shivam, garnering widespread acclaim.
Dr. Nehru has revolutionized the skill development model by prioritizing national and State-level initiatives over a corporate career. He has also served as a Director on the Board of Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited. Notably, he was appointed as a member of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 implementation plan by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and as a member of the Advisory Council of the Policy Research Foundation. He is also a member of the Northwest Regional Committee of AICTE, New Delhi.
He is also Chairman of the National Skills Qualification Framework Committee.
