JAMMU, Feb 28: Dr Mrinalini Atrey has been appointed as the new Co-Counselor, ICOMOS-India (International Council on Monuments and Sites) for the term 2024-26 along with Dr Venugopal as the Counselor.
In the capacity, she shall act as facilitator and coordinator for ICOMOS’s work undertaken by the NSCs (National Scientific Committees) and working groups and help in formulation of Annual Plan and Vision statement.
Dr Mrinalini Atrey has more than 15 years of experience in the field of intangible cultural heritage with focus on women, Disaster Management and Mitigation. She also coordinates the India chapter of Association of Critical Heritage Studies and is an expert member on many national and international committees. Presently she is teaching History at The Law School, University of Jammu.
