POONCH, May 11: With the objective to channelize the energy of youth from Pir Panjal region in right direction, Dr Shazad Malik, Vice Chancellor of Sai Nath University, Agra today distributed sports kits and uniforms among a large number of youth and young students of local Govt Higher Secondary School at Chhatral village in Mendhar sub division of district Poonch today.
A function in this connection was held at this remote village which was attended by a large number of youth, their parents and large number of people of the area. On this occasion, Dr Malik donated sports kits and uniforms to the local players/boys to boost the sports activities in the area.
Dr Malik, a native of remote village Kasblari in sub-division Mendhar is continuously supporting youth of this belt and encouraging them for getting good education and sports activities and educating them against the menace of drugs.
While speaking on the occasion, he called for providing better educational and sports facilities to the youth of Pir Panchal area who have all the talent but need just moral and infrastructural help from the Government and other agencies. He said situation in Kashmir has become vulnerable. The energy of youth is being utilized for disruptive activities, which is unfortunate. He said in this tender age, young boys and girls should get best education and build their career by adopting spots activities.
He appealed the people to provide good education and encourage their children for participation in sports activities. He cautioned that youth from Poonch-Rajouri belt should not follow what some Kashmiri youth are doing, thus spoiling their career. It is the moral responsibility of the parents to inculcate good traits in their children, he added.
