JAMMU, June 23: Dr M D Bali, ex Chief Manager PNB has been appointed as J&K State Project Coordinator (SPC), Monitoring Cell for Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India. The selection was made by MoRD GoI at Bangalore out of shortlisted potential candidates from all the banks. This is the first posting of any such State coordinator in J&K to coordinate the activities of RSETIs.
Dr Bali has varied experience of 35 years in different capacities to his credit, having worked in J&K Govt & PNB in rural areas & remained associated with various Rural Development Programmes for socio-economic upliftment of rural poor.
MoRD GoI has established RSETIs in all districts of the country through respective Lead Banks. In J&K, 12 such RSETIs have been established by J&K Bank & 10 by SBI.
