JAMMU, Jan 2: Dr (Professor) Vijay Kundal was today appointed as new Head of Department (HoD) of Medicines Department of the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
He replaced Dr Anil Sharma, who retired after distinguished services.
After his appointment, Dr Kundal held review meeting of the department with doctors and para-medical staff especially with regard to patient healthcare which, he said, shouldn’t suffer in the times of COVID.
He called for coordination among doctors and other staff to give better services to the patients.
Dr Kundal is MBBS Graduate of the GMC Jammu and had also done his MD from the same college.
He joined the faculty in Medicines Department of the GMC Jammu in May 2000 and worked on different posts like Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor before being eleated as Professor and now the HoD.
He has the experience of working with various distinguished senior doctors including Principals of the GMC Jammu.
