JAMMU, Oct 20: Dr Karan Singh, Sole Trustee Rajput Charitable Trust-(J&K) along with Ajatshatru Singh – Pro Vice Chairperson, Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu-(West) today visited the school campus which is situated at Maharani Bagh, Rakh Nagbani, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Karan Singh appreciated the efforts of the school management, Principal and the teaching and non teaching staff who have been imparting quality education to all the students virtually even in the time of COVID-19. He expressed his satisfaction over the smooth functioning of the school and advised everyone present there to maintain high standards of education by adopting the latest and modest technology. He concluded on an emotional note by saying that he is happy to see the dream of Maharani Yasho Rajyalakshmi taking its shape into an establishment of Green School and also maintaining its environmental standards by moving beyond theories and textbook knowledge to learning by doing.
He motivated all the staff members to maintain international standards of education set by the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi and CBSE, New Delhi. He also inspired the staff to participate in nation building programmes by strengthening the four pillars of education i.e. learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together and learning to be besides the academics.
While remembering his childhood and thanking his ancestors for donating a piece of land and starting DAV Nagbani School for CWSN and orphans, he felt very happy to see this area developed so much as an educational hub with so many educational institutions. He praised Delhi Public Schools in J&K which have brought revolution in Jammu for producing so many IAS, IPS, KAS officers besides getting ranks in JEE and NEET exams and in so many other fields and putting DPS on the globe.
He also acknowledged the hard work and efforts put by Ajatshatru Singh – Pro Vice Chairperson, Ritu Singh-Trustee, Ranvijay Singh- Trustee and S S Sodhi-Director of the school for creating a vehement atmosphere of education particularly in J&K.
