NEW DELHI, Jan 9: Releasing a Chinese language book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi written by Tarun Vijay here this evening, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the 21st century belongs to India and China, and Modi is the architect of Asia’s emergence as a supreme power.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, Narendra Modi is a phenomenon in himself, which is borne out by the fact that in a country like India with diversities of political thought, culture, language, religion, etc., he has proved to be a unifying cord from east to west and north to south, which is reflected in the pan-India mandate received by him to rule the country. Similarly, he said, when other countries of the world look up to Modi and the heads of some of the mightiest republics keenly come forward to welcome him during his overseas visits, they are deeply conscious of the fact that they are dealing with a person who is not only different from the rest of his genre, but also commands the popular support of the world’s largest democracy of 125 crore people.
Having risen from grassroots, Modi has much to offer for others of the contemporary generation to be inspired about, said Dr Jitendra Singh and added that one of the greatest contributions of Narendra Modi to the Indian politics is that he has paved the way for ordinary “Karyakartas” / workers to rise from a scratch to the top if they have the requisite commitment, perseverance and capability. In this way, he has added true democratic essence to India’s 68 year old democracy which had for long reeled under feudal and dynastic influences, he added.
Even as China and India share a common heritage from ancient times in terms of culture and history, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is the future which is going to be determined by the economic supremacy of these two nations. Wherever India and China get together and whenever India and China come together to work jointly, they would be followed and emulated by the rest of the world, he added.
Author of the book Tarun Vijay said, he had written the book after studying different lesser and more known facts of Narendra Modi and tried to profile them in such a manner that they could bring out the true personality of the man himself. This is the first official Chinese language biography of Modi, he added.
Sun Shoushan, Vice Minister of the Peoples Republic of China, Ma Xiaofeng, President Sichuan University, Le Yucheng, Chinese Ambassador to India, Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gujjar, MPs Udit Raj and Ramesh Bidhuri and BJP Delhi State President Satish Upadhyay were among the prominent persons in the galaxy of gentry that attended the book release ceremony.
