JAMMU, Dec 27: Taking strong exception to alleged misinformation campaign by some vested interests, BJP State general secretary Pawan Khajuria today listed the achievements of Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, who represents Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha.

“Dr Jitendra Singh and other BJP representatives have done development instead of playing politics and this is evident from the series of works initiated during the last three years,” he said while addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, here today.
Maintaining that the region has always witnessed unprecedented growth and development whenever BJP candidates are elected, Khajuria said that Udhampur-Doda MP Dr Jitendra Singh has proven his worth in PMO helping PM Narendra Modi in the service of Nation, which is a matter of pride for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. “Dr Jitendra Singh has given pace to the development while doing unmatched work for the region and focussing on equitable development in whole J&K,” he said.
Pawan Khajuria mentioned about special package for the beautification and preservation of Devika river with a whooping sum of Rs 170.5 crore, coming up of super-specialty hospital in Udhampur, Passport Office in Udhampur , allotment of Sports Stadium in every district, allotment of Rs 1400 crore out of Rs 2700 crore under PMGSY to Udhampur-Doda, work on Smart cities, coming up of Radio Station at Udhampur etc.
He further mentioned that Dr Jitendra Singh has spent Rs 2 crore out of CDF in this particular year for various welfare works. “Building of bunkers in border districts, Bio-Tech Park, Tunnel from Sudh Mahadev to Marmat, IIT, IIM, Kiria-Gandyal Bridge, procurement of Metrological equipment, increase in honorarium from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 for SPOs, Rs one crore for Saddal village, etc are other contributions of Dr Jitendra Singh, who frequently visits Jammu and his constituency every weekend to interact with public and listen to the party activists,” he said.
The BJP leader said that those leveling allegations should introspect their own performance and actions as they pursue double standards and air different speaks in Jammu and Kashmir, while serving to their own selfish mottos.
