Srinagar, Apr 29: Dr Jahangir Bakshi was today appointed as Medical Superintendent, Super Speciality Hospital, Shereen Bagh Srinagar by the Health & Medical Education Department.
“In the interest of administration and patient care, it is hereby ordered that Dr Jahangir Bakshi, Medical Officer, presently on deputation on GMC Srinagar shall look-after the charge of Medical Superintendent, Super Speciality Hospital, GMC Srinagar in addition to his own duties,” reads the order issued here by the H&ME Department.
Meanwhile, after GMC, the Superintendent, Super Speciality Hospital, Shereen Bagh also ordered the suspension of OPDs services as well as the routine surgeries.
“In view of the surge in the number of COVID patients and as agreed/directed by the Principal GMC, Srinagar the OPD services at the SSH, Shereen Baght Shall remain suspended till further orders,” the order issued here by the hospital stated.
The teleconsultation, the order stated, will remain in vogue, while all surgical speciality heads are informed to cater to malignancy/emergent organ salvaging surgeries only.
