SRINAGAR, May 14: Dr. Sudhir S. Bloeria, Vice Chancellor, Central University, Jammu, called on Governor, N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of this University at Raj Bhavan here today.
Dr. Bloeria briefed the Chancellor about the progress achieved so far in development of the Campus of the University at Village Bagla, Raya Suchani. He also apprised him about the status of the ongoing teaching and research programmes in the University, the progress made in the recruitment of faculty and non-teaching staff, intake of students, and about various administrative issues related to the University.
The Governor emphasized the need for ensuring the establishment of essential facilities in the University within the planned time frames, and sustained endeavour to achieve high standards in teaching, research and extra-curricular activities.
The Governor, who is the Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, also discussed with Dr. Bloeria, a Member of the Shrine Board, several important issues relating to the functioning of the Shrine Board.
