Dr Banarsi from KVK Reasi gets Best Scientist Award

JAMMU, Mar 30: Dr Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J), has been honoured with the Best Scientist Award by the South Asian Education Awards-2018,   sponsored by the Education Expo TV (EET CRS).
The South Asian Education Award panel conferred the best scientist award to the budding scientist based on his research papers, articles, book chapters, books, success stories, case studies, Radio/TV talks, invited talks, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, technologies disseminated etc  for the welfare of the farming community.
Dr Banarsi, an ICAR nominee, a Gold Medalist from Rajasthan Agriculture University (RAU) and doctorate from the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, has developed an innovative Exponential Communication Model which is very useful to assess the communication behaviour of the farmers. He did extensive research on communication model building with renowned Professor, Dr Dipak De. He has written more than 460 publications as research papers in national and international journals, success stories/case studies, technical bulletins, leaflets, book chapters, training manuals etc.
