JAMMU, Mar 14: Delhi Public School organized Teachers Orientation Programme here today.
On the occasion, enlightening presentation cum talks were arranged on the topics health, medicine, balanced diet, use of nano-technology in medicine, examination system and safeguarding the students in the school buses.
Headmistress of the school Ruchi Chabra presented the welcome address.
Dr Pawan Malhotra, HoD, Department of Pharmacology, ASCOMS, Jammu discussed the application of nano-technology in the fields of medicine and the use of the stem cells and their synthetic development. He informed about the role of the nano-technology in diagnostics in therapeutics.
Speaking on the revolutionary uses of nano-technology for patients care, Dr Malhotra said that its best outcome could be felt in case of infectious disease like cancer, aids, H1N1, etc.
Poonam Choudhary, PGT English and dietitian, highlighted the role and importance of balance diet and its effect on adults and children. She laid emphasis on monitoring of health tiffin brought by children to the school.
Umesh Sharma, Coordinator, Senior wing informed the audience about the proper method of preparing the question paper and evaluation of the answer sheets for the betterment of the students, so that they may not suffer and their knowledge about the concerned subject is also tested.
SS Jamwal, Chief General Manager, Transport, DPS explained in detail about the guidelines of the Supreme Court of India and instructions issued by the Traffic Police Department of Jammu regarding safety measures for the children in the school buses.
Principal, Sudarshan Sonar expressed gratitude to the resource persons for updating them in the areas of educational setup.
