DPC clears promotions in Fire & Emergency Services

JAMMU, July 25: Departm-ental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting of Fire and Emergency Services was held under the chairmanship of Dilbagh Singh, DGP Prisons J&K, Director Fire and Emergency Services J&K, in which large number of promotions of Non-Gazetted category of Fire and Emergency Services were cleared.
In the meeting, the records for each rank regarding their work and conduct and other reports pertaining to their performance were examined and cleared a large number of promotions in deserving cases.
The promotees including 1 mechanic, 2 Sub Officers, 2 Sub Officers (M), 1 Leading Fireman, 5 drivers, 3 firemen driver, 140 SG firemen, 143 firemen, 1 washerman.
There were come intra-personnel litigations pertaining to certain ranks. The cases of the petitioners and private respondents in these cases were also examined and the results were kept in sealed cover in view of the pending decision from the Court. The deserving out of them will be promoted after the pending cases in the High Court are disposed off.
DGP Dilbagh Singh advised all the promotees to focus on healthy working of the organization and dedication towards the services of the people. He urged them that undesirable litigations should be avoided to address the genuine grievances of the rank and fire.
He added that other required welfare measures are also being taken on day to day basis and the Command Officers are already sensitized to promote health work culture at all levels so that the organization responds efficiently to the public in distress due to fire and allied disasters.
