Sir,
The unrest in Kashmir is now two months old, and the mobs are protesting against the Government for reasons known to every body, and the opposition parties too, who once ruled the State for most of the period of Kashmir history are now playing politics.
Both the parties National Conference and the Congress so far have not made any significant contribution to douse the fire that has engulfed the State. Had they earnestly worked in this direction, situation would have been different.
These parties have been saying that forces should not use the protection weapons and must refrain to the utmost is a welcome step but they should suggest measures whereby stone-pelters and protesters can be controlled without using force.
The problem has its origin in the misrule of the National Conference and the Congress Governments who have ruled the State for almost six decades. Opposing PM’s statement over Baluchistan exposes the NC and the Congress, and their statements underline their frustration after losing their power in the State. It is suggested here that both the parties should support the PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State in bringing peace to the State.
Yours etc….
