RAMBAN, Sept 15: A double storey residential house was damaged in fire in Batas Gundi village of Gool.
As per police sources, fire broke out in the double storey residential house of Mohammad Ashraf Tragwal and Shakeel Ahmed Tragwal in Batas Gundi area of Gool today morning.
On seeing the flames billowing out, locals rushed to the spot and started operation to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts of several hours by the locals and police cops, the fire was brought under control but till then the house and other items kept inside in it turned into ashes.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
However, Gool Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, the residents expressed their anguish over the non-availability water supply in their area.
“Initially we failed to control the fire due to non-availability of water in our area”, they said, added that after using some available resources, the fire was brought under control.
They demanded regular water supply to their area so that these type of fire incident could be averted timely.
