JAMMU, May 12: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today formally allocated portfolios of Cooperatives to Chering Dorjey and Transport to Abdul Ghani Kohli, who had been elevated as Cabinet Ministers from Ministers of State on April 24.
An official order allocating the portfolios of Cooperatives and Transport to Dorjey and Kohli respectively, which they had been holding as Ministers of State with Independent Charge, was issued today.
Both of them had already started working as Cooperatives and Transport Ministers. .
However, the Chief Minister has not allocated the Departments of Rural Development, Horticulture and Ladakh Affairs, which Kohli and Dorjey were holding as Ministers of State. Kohli was holding departments of Rural Development and Horticulture as MoS while Ladakh Affairs was being held by Dorjey as MoS.
As per PDP-BJP understanding, the departments held by the Cabinet Ministers of one party, will go to MoS of another party.
