Jammu, Sept 18: Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Additional General Secretary of National Conference accompanied by Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for CAPD and Transport Department paid a three day visit to Kargil.
Addressing party workers at Drass, the two leaders impressed upon the party cadre to strengthen National Conference at all levels and be vigilant against the machination of opposition to spread canard against National Conference led Coalition Government and the National Conference.
They gave details of the development works in the district in all sectors including road connectivity to all villagers and hamlets, power projects that are in various stages of construction and have started showing results, 200 bedded District Hospital, and foundation for the Kashmir University campus laid by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah earlier this year, 100 bedded hospitals at Sankoo and Drass are in final stages of completion.
Terming all political parties and groups other than National Conference as products of conspiracies (against National Conference), Dr.Kamaal said all of them have one point agenda of weakening National Conference and projecting it in bad light .He cautioned the audience not to lend ears to these frustrated and chromic liers who are responsible for over two decades long bloodshed ,death and destruction especially .
Lashing out at PDP, he said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Union Home Minister had done the greatest disservice to people of J&K especially the majority community by letting loose a reign of large scale terror and killings through his hand -picked Governor Jagmohan armed with the infamous AFSPA .People who have seen this ugly side of Mufti Sayeed will never forgive him and one day he will have to face the law for crimes against society.
Dr. Kamaal said National Conference is proud of the traditional and strong bonds of amity, religious and social harmony of the Buddhists and Muslims of Leh and Kargil Districts. He further said that secularism and complete harmony between the various regions and religious of J&K has been the hallmark of National Conference party and is at the core of the party’s policies and programmes.
