SRINAGAR, Sept 19: CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam MY Tarigami has asked the present dispensation to shun its insensitive attitude towards protesting NYC youth and implement last year’s Cabinet decision on their adjustment in Government services. He said that the Government has put the future of 6000 youth in jeopardy.
In a statement issued here, Tarigami strongly demanded that Govt must honour its Order No. 787-EDU- of 2014 dated October 22, 2014 and implement the same in letter and spirit. He asked the State Government to come clean on the issue and decide the fate of thousands of youth who have been unnecessarily discontinued from their services.
He said this Govt has come up with new scheme covered under its recruitment policy but has brazenly disregarded the Cabinet decision of the previous regime on absorption of NYC youth. “The present Government talks much about the future of youth but at the same time, they have closed down options for youth to live peacefully,” Tarigami said while addressing the protesters.
Expressing solidarity with the protesting NYC volunteers, Tarigami demanded that Government must take a decision in order to end sufferings of the families directly or indirectly dependent on the volunteers.
