JAMMU, Apr 9: Jammu Kashmir Industries Limited (JKI), in an endeavor to supplement efforts of the administration towards containing the spread of Coronavirus in the J&K UT, today contributed Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund.
Managing Director, Javid Iqbal, along with General Manager JKI, Sanjay Handoo, presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi. The amount shall be deposited in the relief account as voluntary contribution from employees of the Corporation.
Officers and staff of Crime Branch Jammu contributed an amount of Rs 5.15 lakh towards PM CARES Fund. All gazetted officers contributed 2-day salary while other officers donated one day salary while participating in unanimous decision of J&K police to donate & contribute in war against the dangerous virus.
Directorate of Tourism Kashmir today credited Rs 4.5 lakh to Jammu and Kashmir Relief Fund. The amount was deposited in the Relief account as a voluntary contribution from the staff of the Directorate.
The civil society members of the district Rajouri including Subash Chander (retired ADC), Bharat Bushan Gupta (transporter) and Khurshid Janum, (retired ZEO/social activist) contributed an amount of Rs 3.51 lakh in District Disaster Management Fund.
Baba Bhagwan Dass Ji Maharaj, 23rd Guru and ‘Sanchalak’ of Mahatma Dewan Sahib Ji Maharaj Udas Marg Religious and Social Welfare Sanstha, RS Pura, contributed Rs 1,51,000 to PM CARES Fund in the presence of Guru Mata Bimla Bhagat and Management Committee of the Sanstha.
Scrap Dealers Association Kalu Chak Jammu led by its president Suresh Kumar Gupta and Sanjay Kumar Gupta donated Rs 101000, Tripta Devi Councillor of Ward number 66 donated Rs 5100, Jyoti Devi, Coulcillor of Ward number 53 Trikuta Nagar donated Rs 21000 and Neeraj Puri Councillor of Ward number 54 donated Rs 11000 in favour of PM-CARES Fund and the cheques of these donations were handed over to Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC and Narian Singh Jamwal, senior BJP leader.
Prajapati (Kumhar) Sabha and Dev Raj Sharma (Putto) contributed Rs 50,000 each towards PM CARES Fund. Dev Raj Sharma handed over the cheque of the amount to senior BJP leader and ex-MLA Ashwani Sharma.
Members of NIS community coaches donated Rs 7500 towards PM CARES Fund. They presented cheque of the amount to ex-MLC Vikram Randhawa.
