Donations continue to pour in for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Apr 6: In the fight against COVID-19, J&K Grameen Bank Officer’s Association in the presence of DK Bali, General Manager J&K Grameen Bank and D D Gupta, Chief AI&V Department handed over a cheque amounting to Rs 51 lakh on behalf of all the employees of the Bank to Chairman, Janak Raj Angural for donation to J&K Relief Fund. The bank employees also donated three days salary in favour of J&K Relief Fund.
Jammu and Kashmir Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) contributed Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund to strengthen the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19). The sum in the form of a cheque was presented Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi by Atul Sharma, Managing Director SICOP, who informed that the donation forms the part of salary of the Corporation’s employees.
M/s Safex Chemicals India Limited today contributed Rs 5 lakh to Disaster Management Fund of District Udhampur. The amount was donated through cheque which was presented to Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Piyush Singla in presence of General Manager, DIC, Udhampur Suram Sharma.
Jain Samaj led by president S S Jain Sabha, Pankaj Jain today on the Birthday of Lord Mahavir organized a simple function at Rani Park, Jammu and handed over a cheque of Rs 3,75,111 in favour of PM CARES Fund to Chander Mohan Gupta (Mayor JMC) and Narian Singh Jamwal (BJP leader/president Rajput Sabha). On the occasion, Jain Mahila Mandal also donated a sum of Rs 1,11,000 in favour of PM CARES Fund.
The Kashmiri Pandit employees under PM package programme at Vessu (Kulgam) donated Rs 50,000 for PM CARES Fund while Vikram Mahajan of House number 169, Sarwal Colony donated Rs 21000 to PM CARES Fund. Parade Sports Association donated a sum of Rs 11000 towards J&K Relief Fund.
To fight against Coronavirus, Sikh community of Kargil donated Rs 1,28,000 to District Administration. The Sikh community headed by Karan Singh, president Gurudwara Civil Sanghat, Balti Bazar Kargil, Ladakh handed over the amount in the form of a cheque to Deputy Commissioner Kargil Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary.
Likewise, Karma Dupgyud Choeling Monastery Choglamsar handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh in favour of LG Relief Fund of UT Ladakh to Commissioner Secretary Health, UT Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel while president and members of Ladakh Contractors Association Leh handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh and president as well as members of Geskul Shesrig Tsogspa Saboo Leh Ladakh handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh.
Similarly, president and members of Welfare for Community Development, Old Skampari-A, Leh handed donated Rs 55000, president and members of Ladakh Buddhist Association Women Wing hander over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh, members of Kunthus Tsogspa Nimoo village handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh and president as well as members of Ex-Servicemen League handed over a cheque of Rs 30,000 towards LG Relief Fund UT Ladakh.
