DOM organizes 4th Round Table Conference for protection of Constitution

SAMBA, Mar 14: Dalit OBC Minorities (DOM), a wing of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations J&K organized 4th Round Table Conference at Vijaypur, here today for protection of Constitution, Democracy under the slogan of “Sath Chalo, Milkar Lado”.
RK Kalsotra, president of the Confederation and DOM, was accompanied by Kuldeep Singh Giani, Dr Sameer Choudhary and Retired Principal Roop Lal. Speaking on the occasion, Kalsotra said that many such conferences will be held across the J&K to educate and make people aware about the threats the Constitution and Democracy are facing.
Former Minister Yash Pal Kundal supported the agenda of the conference and appealed all to join the Confederation to save their fundamental rights and the Constitution.
Two major resolutions were passed at the conference. One was to name new Parliament House as Dr BR Ambedkar Parliament House and 2nd was to focus on safeguarding the Constitution and the Democracy.
Various other issues like Reservation issue, prohibition on privatization, EVM ban, reservation in higher judiciary, reservation in promotion, reservation in private sector, implementation of all the recommendations of the Mandal Commission, reinstatement on backlog posts, reservation in contract-lease, cancellation of land allotment of poor, property tax, etc were also highlighted in the conference.
Participants said that these conferences should be converted into a revolution for social justice. Others spoke on the occasion were Somnath, Dev Raj, Ravinder Kumar, Naseeb Ram, Baldev Raj, Capt Balbir Raj and Kuldeep Verma.
