JAMMU, June 18: Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized ‘Ek Malati’ with prominent Dogri writer Prakash Premi in a simple but an impressive function organized at Dogri Sanstha, Dogri Bhawan, Karan Nagar Jammu.
The program was presided over by Prof Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha Jammu whereas Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’, General Secretary of Dogri Sanstha anchored the program.
Prakash Premi is an eminent Dogri and Hindi poet, critic, short story writer, satirist, translator and scholar with many books to his credit that include epic ‘Bedhan Dharti Di’ for which he was awarded prestigious Sahitya Akademi award in Dogri in 1987 and was also awarded with Translation award in 2010 for translating Punjabi novel ‘Dehri Da Dia’ written by Dr Gurdyal Singh in Dogri.
During the program, he spoke at length about his journey as a writer and also interacted with the litterateurs and literature lovers present in quite a good number and replied to their queries related to his life and contributions in literature.
The program was attended by many litterateurs from other languages and literature lovers including family members of Prakash Premi also.
