JAMMU, July 30: Announcing  formation of  Dogri Sangarsh Morcha, led by Mohan Singh, activists of a number of literary and pro-Jammu organizations of Jammu province, today organized a protest rally against the Government move of imposing Kashmiri language in Jammu.
Activists of Dogri Bhasha Academy, Jammu Duggar Manch,  Vishal Duggar Manch Jammu, Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF), Kavi Dattu Sahitya Sabha Bhaddu, Nama Dogri Kala Manch Bhambla and   Dogri Sahitya Sabha Billawar took part in the protest demonstration.   They raised slogans against the State Government and its purported move.
While speaking on the occasion, Mohan Singh,  president Duggar Manch,  asked the J&K Government to immediately revoke  the order  on conversion of 49 posts of Assistant Professors in Kashmir language, which has triggered strong resentment among the people of Jammu province. “It is assault on the Dogri and Dogra  culture.  The Dogra people will never tolerate this non serious attitude of Government,” he said.
On this occasion,   Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal said that Kashmiri politicians want to create an  impression that the Kashmiri is spoken in the whole  of the J&K State which is not true. He further said that if Kashmiri is imposed on Jammu people,  then Dogri  and Ladakhi  should also be taught in Kashmir region and  posts  of Dogri Asst Professors should  be created for  whole of the State. Further,  he warned the Government that if the order is not revoked at the earliest,   the Duggar Manch  and other allied organizations will start a mass movement in Jammu region and its responsibility will be on the  shoulders of Government. He appealed the people of Jammu to be ready for the further struggles to get the share of Dogri.
Atul Sudan,  a youth leader of JJSF, warned that youth and student community of Jammu will not tolerate such kind of dictatorship of Kashmiri people. If the controversial order is not  revoked immediately, students and youth of Jammu will  come on roads against this,” he warned and added that it was very shamefull that the elected representatives from Jammu are maintaining a criminal silence over the issue.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included  Hari Chand Jalmeria, Naresh Dutt Sharma, Uday Chand, Shakti Singh,  N  D  Jamwal and others.
