Samba, Oct 17: The Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today formally launched a Dogri Ringtone on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao theme.
The melodious tone has been written by Bishan Singh Dardi, a well known writer from Samba and composed by Sahil Jasotra from Jammu. Sonali Dogra, a renowned singer from Jammu has lent her voice for the tone.
The function was attended by ADDC Vivek Sharma, ADC Pawan Sharma, PO ICDS, Tanveer Iqbal, ACD Tilak Raj and district officers from different departments.
The District Administration has launched the tone as a component of mass media campaign on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The ringtone is presently installed on BSNL numbers of District Officers and can be copied by pressing ‘*9’ by any BSNL user calling them. On the occasion, DC emphasised upon more awareness programmes as they are the most important aspect of BBBP campaign.
Later, the DDC also took review of decisions taken in District and Sub-divisional task forces and called for time bound action. She directed Nodal Officer BBBP campaign, Mushtaq Choudhary to analyse and submit report regarding data collected through Guddi Gudda boards installed at every district panchayat.
She also called for maintaining proper record of destitute and drop out girls so that steps could be taken to empower them and follow up action could be taken accordingly.She also directed ICDS Department to make sure that accurate data is reflected in their monthly progress reports.
