‘Dogra Cultural Heritage’ event concludes

REASI, Feb 3: To showcase the rich art and cultural heritage, one-day “Dogra Cultural Heritage” event organized by Triple “A” Performing Arts concluded here today at Dera Baba Banda Bahadur.
The cultural festival had participation from different music and dance parties across the district with an aim to promote cultural values among students and propagate culture.
A cultural programme comprised of more than 15 different items depicting the dogra history, lifestyle, ceremonies, celebrations, festivals and other aspects were also organized. This was the 8th cultural heritage event organized by the Triple “A” Performing Arts with financially supported by Ministry of Culture, Government of India for the year 2015-16.
The concluded function was inaugurated by Bodh Raj, Sarpanch Babar Kundra.
While speaking, Bodh Raj emphasized on showcasing and promoting the rich regional culture heritage and old age traditions. These kinds of events provides a platform for cultural and artistic exchange among students and cultural groups of Reasi, Udhampur, Ramnagar, Panchari, Moungri and other remote areas.
On the occasion Master Ranbir Thakur, a child artist, Kud performer was honoured by the chief guest.
Advocate Sarver Mir, social activist stressed on promotion of cultural and historical heritage at school level and grooming of children as cultural ambassadors. He appealed the artists of the district to come forward for spreading the light of culture.
National Awardees Khem Raj, Shadab Khan, Sahil Abrol, Sohan Lal, Bashir Ahmed Sarpanch, Vishal Kathpal, Sohan Lal, and Puri Singh were also present on the occasion.
