Dogra College of Education organizes debate competition

JAMMU, Mar 12: The Population Club of Dogra College of Education in collaboration with NSS Unit of the College organized a debate competition in the College premises, here.
The topic of the debate was ‘Women can prove to be better teacher than men’.
Earlier, Shefali Sharma, Vice-Principal, Dogra College of Education while speaking on the occasion highlighted the role of women in building a healthy Society.
12 students participated in the competition and expressed their views regarding the importance of women teachers for the betterment of Society in general and that of Nation in particular.
Senior Lecturers of the College Prerna Nanda, Indu Puri and Sumer Singh were the adjudicators of the competition.
Prof B D Damral, Director Academics and Principal Dogra College of Education in his address highlighted the theme for International Women’s Day.
Ankita Sharma bagged the first position, while Phool Varsha and Layaqat Ali stood second and third respectively. The consolation prize was bagged by Sushil Kumar.
Poonam Gupta, Convenor, Population Club of the College presented vote of thanks.
