JAMMU, Aug 2: Heavy rain lashed several hilly areas today following blockade of Doda-Bhaderwah and Bani-Loang and Sarthal road today.
Reports said that due to massive landslides near Sanai, Doda-Bhaderwah road was blocked this evening. About 7-8 big trees have also fallen and nearly 100 mt area of the road has been affected. It is hoped that road will be restored by tomorrow evening if the weather remained fair.
Reports from Kathua said that Bani-Loang and Sarthal road has also been blocked due to fresh land slides near Chandal, about 3 kms ahead of Bani this afternoon. Several vehicles have been stranded on both sides of the road. Chandi Mata Yatris moving towards Bhaderwah in their own vehicles, have also been stranded due to this blockade.
